Indian Giver

You ask for my heart and so I give it away
You tell me you’re mine, but then you’re someone else’s
And you say you’re not mine, but my heart is yours and I have no right to feel injured
Because what’s yours is yours and you won’t let me have it anymore.
So I’ll take it back. I’ll fly high into the sky and wait for it to join me.
Where my heart can’t help but break her chains and soar.
And then you’ll be left with whatever it is you had before.
I never take pleasure in seeing a broken heart
So I just focus on the image of the heart in healing
